Changes in my studio...

Hello Lovelies,
it seems like an never ending story, with my studio...
Now I got proper storage for all my bits and bobs
and for my canvases and finished paintings.

So here is what my storage unit looked like before.

I had this ikea unit for ages and it worked very well,
but I wanted a more cleaner look, not all of my stuff showing.
So, due to my cleaning out upstairs, mainly in my closet space.
I got one of my wardrobes downstairs.
Problem was that it was too tall, so I needed to cut it some centimeter`s.

And all of my stuff went from this corner on my table again!
Oh my... what a mess XD

And from the table, back again in it`s new home...

As you can see I really did go crazy with my dymo ;)
All of my stuff is now in there,
from sanding paper to my alex unit and even my sewing machine.

But the biggest problem was not solved yet.
My paintings were still on the floor and this sucked. But I had the Ikea unit, so what to do?
Just cut this sucker and build a shelf for them?
Yep, did that right away.

And here is the before and after once again for ya`ll! ;)

Tell me hat you think.
I think it is now much more easy on the eyes, no clutter accept of the paintings.
Everything is tidy and neat. And this was my goal. ;)
And this journey will continue...

Painting for a upcoming exhibition in November!

Hello Lovelies
I am really busy at the moment.
I am in a revamping process in my studio.
I have the feeling that I really never will be done with this space!
And I am literally drowning in work,
So much paintings to finish for my upcoming exhibition!
I am currently working simultaneously on three pieces.
But it is all so much fun though! ;)

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook
you may have seen some snippets of my finished pieces.
I intended my paintings to be much more realistic this time,
so I am putting as much effort and detail as possible in to them.
For the exhibition I am having in October I chose the more modern and fluid paintings.
But for the November one I am going full in my other style, the whimsical and detailed paintings.

Enough rambling...
Here is "The Hunter`s Herat"
Acrylic on heavy cardboard, sealed and framed.

What do you think?
Too much? Too scary? ;)
It is my first anatomical piece, but not the last one I think... :)
It will tie in perfectly with the other stuff I painted.

Love to read your thoughts on this my Luvs!

And a quick video of the painting in process.

Succulent Topiary, sort of... ;)

Hello Lovelies,
here we go another Topiary for ya`ll! :)

I did a bunch of topiary`s and fake flowers stuff on this blog a lot.
And since I like them so much I will show you one more, this time with succulents.
I have many many real plant, like orchids and succulents as you may know.
But I have places in my home, where even the toughest succulent would not survive.
And this is for example my bathroom and my bedroom corners,
because there is not much natural light,
So, I made these, for those corners.

Here is what you need:
clear containers
fake succulents or kakti
little rocks
aquarium gravel and sand
some moss

And simply throw everything in there to your liking...
So easy and fun right? ;)

Like so...

... some rocks here, some gravel there and sand as a first layer...

When you are satisfied with your base, start placing your plants.
Like you can see I finish up with the big bowl right here and in the left one in the corner I placed sand and plants and in the right above just gravel, rocks and some moss.
And mixed everything together in the big one.
I had these pretty heart shaped stones for ages and they live there as well now.

And a close up for you ;)

And here they are agin grouped together on my coffee table ;)

And dining table.

Here is the little set up in my bedroom on the table at my reading nook.

Like em? Just give theme a try ;)
